On August 29, the third "Qinchuan Cup" Employee Vocational Skills Competition kicked off with great enthusiasm at Hanjiang Tools. This year’s competition focuses on the critical skill of "external cylindrical grinding operations," aligning closely with the manufacturing industry's urgent need for highly skilled professionals as it undergoes transformation and upgrading. The event aims to create a robust platform for industry collaboration, inspiring employees to pursue technical learning, hone their skills, and compete in craftsmanship. Ultimately, it seeks to foster the development of a knowledgeable, skilled, and innovative workforce in the manufacturing sector, driving high-quality growth in our province’s equipment manufacturing industry.
The competition will last three days and will be conducted strictly according to the "National Vocational Skill Standards," with the schedule designed based on the technical syllabus for National Vocational Qualification Level 3 (Advanced Technician). The event is divided into two stages: a theoretical exam and a practical skills assessment. A total of 49 contestants from six companies—including QinChuan Group Headquarters, Fast Gear, Baoji Machine Tool, QinChuan Grand, Hanjiang Machine Tool, and Hanjiang Tools—will compete and showcase their expertise on the same stage.
This year's "Qinchuan Cup" competition is hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Machinery, Metallurgy, and Building Materials Trade Union, organized by Qinchuan Group, and supported by Hanjiang Tools. By continuously building a high-level platform for professional skills competitions, the event provides robust support for identifying, nurturing, and retaining talent within the industry. More than just a stage for technical excellence, these vocational skills contests serve as a vital vehicle for advancing industry-education integration and championing the spirit of craftsmanship.
